damage on the bay. our team coverage continues with kron4's reggie kumar. live out on treasure island. reggie, will this investigation will be handled the same way as the cosco busan incident? >> reporter: very similar, pam...november 2007. the cosco buscan tanker slammed into the bay bridge in thick fog, damaging the fender, on the tower adjacent to the one the overseas reymar hit on monday in similar conditions. the side of the cosco busan was ripped open, as a result more than 50 thousand gallons of oil spilled in to the bay. the damage on the oversea's remar is not as severe. it has a small gash on the starboard side. fortunately, the thousands of gallons of fuel on board never leaked out. six chinese national crew members were onboard the cosco buscan. all them were forced to stay in a hotel in san francisco until the investigation was complete. that took one full year. and.the bar pilot was eventually found guilty and sentenced to ten months in prison. there are 20 crew members still onboard the overseas reymar, anchored in the bay between alcatraz and treasure island. the coast

-4's reggie kumar begins our live team coverage in san francisco. reggie, what's the latest? >> reporter: the bones were discovered on the masonic st. but they are from an animal, not a human. san francisco investigators say cadavar dogs indicated the presence of possible human remains under the concrete floor of this home near the 1100 block of masonic street. several people spent most of tuesday removing large chunks of concrete, and dirt in order to locate the remains. once they were found, the medical examiner determined they were animal bones. so they may not be linked to kevin collins, who disappeared in 1984.police say the resident who lives in the home is not a suspect, i knocked on the door. but no one answered. emma marson lives next door. she says detectives came to her home a month ago. >> i can just see into that backyard and detectives came into my room like a month ago and were taking pictures out the window. they said they were investigating a 20 year homicide. >> reporter: bay are going to continue to do forensic evidence regarding this case. reggie kumar, k

team coverage continues with kron 4's reggie kumar. he's live on treasure island with more on the bar pilot's past history. reggie? >> reporter: there were diapers' in the water looking for damage to their work--first divers.... in the water andpam. this bar pilot started navigating vessels in 2005. according to a spokesman with the bar pilot's association, it's believed the bar pilot had a collision free record, until today. this is video from sky 7 h-d abc 7 news. the bar pilot's name has not been released. a spokesman with the bar pilot association says the vessel navigator was tested for drugs and alcohol. so far the results show he was not drunk during the collision.the drug test results won't be available for at least 48 hours. the coast guard is the lead investigator saying both the captain and bar pilot are responsbile for navigating any ship through the bay. the coast guard said the bar pilot and the captain stand side by side when maneuvering ships through bay waters. an investigation is underway to determine whose hands were on the controls when the vessel hit the bay bridg

on board the tanker when it hit the bay bridge today. kron 4's reggie kumar joins us now, to tell us about the man's past history navigating ships. reggie. >> reporter: pam. this bar pilot started navigating the san francisco bay in 2005. according to a spokesman with the bar pilot's association, it's believed the bar pilot had an accident free record, until now. this is video from sky 7 h- d abc 7 news. the bar pilot's is 61 year old guy kleess. a spokesman with the bar pilot's association says the vessel navigator has been tested for drugs and alcohol. so far the results show the bar pilot was not drunk during the collision.the drug test results won't be available for at least 48 hours. the coast guard is the lead investigator saying both the captain and bar pilot are responsbile for navigating any ship through the bay. the coast guard said the bar pilot and the captain stand side by side when maneuvering ships through bay waters. an investigation is underway to determine whose hands were on the controls when the vessel hit the bay bridge. lieutenant shawn lansing says the investigation
